Our hooks are made from the same steel, sewn onto cotton tape and vulcanized into the garment under hydraulic pressure. That's why a PonteBella closure never rips off, no matter how firm the compression: it isn't glued on — it's fused into the latex itself. Our natural latex comes from the tree and is cured with an alkaline heat process we've refined for more than 20 years — reducing the water-soluble proteins responsible for most latex sensitivities.
